MAST Racing

The MAST Yacht Club of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

MAST was organized in the early 1970s by a group of trailer sailors. We now consider “MAST” to be an acronym for Milwaukee Area Sail and Trail.  The club provides its members with many social events throughout the year, as well as a variety of sailboat cruises, regattas and competitive racing.  While boat ownership is a goal of most of its members, it is not a requirement and many members were introduced to sailing through participation in MAST activities. MAST is affiliated with the LMYA.

Annual Events

Members of all ages are encouraged to participate in organizational functions.  Club dues are $30 per year, per family.  Membership is effective upon application and payment of dues. Some of our events include:

April – Racing Meeting / Training Classes
May – Skippers Meeting
May-September – Racing Season
August – Cruise to Racine
September – Port Washington Regatta & Almost Fall Regatta
October – End of Season Meeting
November – Racing awards Banquet

Racing Program

The Sail Racing Program is a weekly competition on 16 Friday nights per season. The racing fee is  $55, plus $30 membership dues and includes entry in the Almost-Fall Regatta. After-race pizza parties (usually 3 per season) and the Racing Awards Banquet add to the enjoyment and round out the racing activities.
